Heir of one of the most prestigious academic traditions in the field of Antiquity, the Department of Archeology is today one of the most important international research centers, with 4 seats, 17 research laboratories, three specialized libraries, 15 archaeological missions in 7 Italian regions and 12 international missions in 11 Countries of Europe, Africa and Asia.

The project, formed in the University of Bologna (I. Baldini Lippolis, A.L. Morelli and C. Cavallari) and in Aredat (J. Pinar Gil), is first of all an international on-line and multilingual data-base for the use of archaeologists as well as researchers and scholars. It is absolutely free and accessible to any user who registers as a member.
